FRITZ GRUNT RECORDS

During the late 60’s and early 70’s Fritz Grunt was a protégée of the famous Haughville producer Rondo
Granitelli and the infamous Lars Scheissmacher.   Fritz’s early work included assistant producer of The Wrags
single  “Is Haughville Burning”.    He engineered the ground breaking Geiman/Rosebrock recording
“Communication Creation”.    With Fritz’s strong creative and musical foundation in place, Fritz knew it was time
to hang up his own musical shingle.  After winning the legal settlement from the Pudge Music vs. Lars
Sheissmacher lawsuit debacle,  Fritz bellowed “Scheissmacher you won’t have Grunt to kick around any more”
and so began Fritz Grunt Records.   .   Grunt then signed up artists such as Steve Purdue, Doug Rosebrock,
Jim Geiman, The Wrags, Headquake, Sphincter and the Atomic Farmers.   Fritz Grunt Records was on a roll.

Mr. Grunt has always been a fiercely independent record producer,  a strong supporter of his artist’s creativity
and a mentor to musicians and songwriters just getting started.

2005 was looking to be a banner year for FGR with the success of The Wrags “Rockit!” Cd and the recording of
the follow up “Govt Cheese”.   Just after the Govt Cheese session Fritz’s most trusted creative consultant and
friend Doug Rosebrock died suddenly.  Devastated and shocked Mr. Grunt considered packing it in, but the
voice in his head said you can’t let Doug’s dream fade away.  In 2006 FGR bought out Pudge Music, Uptight
Productions and Uptight studios and Grunt moved his operations from downtown Haughville to sublime Ladoga
Indiana, where he located his studios near the historic Ladoga Normal School.  It was during this move that  the
staff found the archive of Doug Rosebrocks early work with Fritz.   These sessions were thought to be lost but
will now be preserved as “Doug Rosebrock – Famous Last Words”.

We at FGR are proud to announce the consolidation of all of our various subsidies under the banner of Fritz

for profit record company.
