"Come and Get It" Is the debut release from the newly
formed Colorado music group HOT LUNCH. This acoustic
quartet ( Rodger Markham, mandolin; Donovan Mcneeley,
guitar; Tom Geiman, standup bass; and Paul Block,
percussion) puts a breath of fresh air into popular standards
of various musical genres including Folk, Rock, Blues,
Jazz,and Country.
Innovative guitar renditions coupled with mandolin leads,
harmonic bass runs and unusual percussive rhythms
compliment the varied vocal interpretations. The intricate
arrangement of "Sixteen Tons", the native chant in
"Geronimo's Cadillac", the simple melody of "Louise"
the jazzy rock and roll of "Moondance", and the burning
rendition of "Fever" are just a few reasons to listen to Come
and Get It over and over again.
The Hot Lunch Band would like to thank all the fans who
came to the CD release party at Zipper's. We were very
happy with the appreciation given to us by everyone,
specially after we played the songs from the CD live . We
had fun signing and personalizing The CDs for our fans.
We will be playing on March 20th at the Heritage Center
across from the Train Station at the Pueblo Songwriters
Acoustic Gallery. We will open and do backup for Bill
Markham from the Chicago area.
